RBK Money, first Russian payment system to obtain PCI DSS certification
Russian payment system RBK Money announced that it became the first payment service in the country to get PCI DSS compliance that allows financial institutions to accept payments made with Visa or MasterCard cards. IBM Internet Security Systems (ISS) assisted RBK Money through the auditing process.

With the PCI DSS certification RBK Money becomes authorized to accept Visa and MasterCard card payments on its website and create new Visa/MasterCard branded products. Previously such a certification was granted only to the largest banks and processing centers which handle bank card transactions.

“PCI DSS certification is a long-expected and very important milestone in the development of RBK Money, which provides us with great opportunities to create new services based on the bank cards. Now we can offer our customers the services with as high as quality as those offered by PayPal and Moneybookers,” said Andrey Morozov, a managing associate of RBK Money.
