Albany ePay gets approval from BASS

As it’s became known on Tuesday, the UK's leading e-transactions software author, Albany Software got an approval of the Bacs Approved Software Service (BASS) for its new product, Albany ePay. It appeared to become the first in the payment software industry to obtain BASS approval for a Faster Payments Secure-IP software product. 

BASS approval process includes thorough testing of the software by VocaLink on behalf of Bacs and also involves crucial feedback from other integral financial bodies including APACS and CHAPS. That let ensure that software meets the agreed standard and works smoothly with both the Bacstel-IP and the Secure-IP connectivity channels.

Albany ePay enables advanced payment functionality with increased speed and performance for effective Cash Flow Management, giving businesses an option to choose between sending payment files trough the traditional Bacstel-IP three-day payment cycle, or the Faster Payments, same day payment model. This new Albany product focuses on speed, performance, automation, usability and the cost effective management of payments. It excludes the need of data rekeying and facilitates reporting that lets businesses to save time and costs. The Albany ePay’s dashboard facility within the user interface provides with clear visibility of cash flow.
