PayMate option available for the MobileStore shoppers
The MobileStore, an Indian telecom retailer and a part of the Essar Group, entered in partnership with PayMate, a mobile commerce company, is implementing POS services across its chain of 1,300 stores in more than 200 cities in India. With the new service customers will be ale to make payments for the items purchased as well as top up, buy or send gift vouchers via their mobile phones.

According to Essar mobile payment platform provided by PayMate allows customers shopping at the MobileStore to link their credit cards to their cell phones and make payments through the an instant auto-IVR call-back without any need in transferring sensitive data. Once registered with PayMate customers can shop with retailers, make online purchases and utility bill payments at PayMate accredited merchants via the mobile.

With the increasing penetration of cell phones, mobile commerce is set for tremendous growth over the coming years. The customer now has the convenience of making the payments at their fingertips."
