Visa and Microsoft join the European coalition against child abuse

Visa and Microsoft join EU fight against Internet child porn that was announced on Tuesday and unites police, Internet providers, financial groups and NGOs. 

The European Financial Coalition (EFC), led by Britain's Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) and including MasterCard, Microsoft, PayPal, VISA Europe and the NGO Missing Children Europe, intend to collaborate in the fight against child abuse images. The EFC founding members also include Europol and the Italian National Postal and Communication Police as the law enforcement side. 

But the EU's force unit is still looking for more support, including European nations, to join the anti-child porn coalition. 

Up to €427,000 (or $537,000) will be provided by the in funding for the new coalition which was officially implemented by Barrot and others on Tuesday at the London headquarters of CEOP.
