Consumers demand flexible mobile phones
“Consumers Attracted to Flexible Displays and Devices,” conducted by the Strategy Analytics Wireless Device Lab, showed the high demand in the market for such innovative devices as bendable phones and phones equipped with a roll-up display. The research surveyed over 2800 owners of wireless device in the US and Western Europe

Consumers, age 16 to 34, have showed the most interest in these creative concepts. 

Chris Schreiner, Senior User Experience Analyst of Strategy Analytics stated that additionally to being innovative in design the enhancements were demanded due to their more convenient functionality. Talking about the first group of consumers to be purchasing the devices he pointed at “Techies” and “Style Seekers”. 

Kevin Nolan, Vice President of the Strategy Analytics User Experience Practice, however, noted that these devices would have to be assessed against the Strategy Analytics PURE-CUT model “to ensure their usability and usefulness.”
