Russian Court sues a student that hacked thousands of WebMoney accounts
As we earlier reported in Russia the authorities seized a student that was cracking the electronic wallets of WebMoney users. Now it is being sued by the Industrial Court of Samara.

A 20-years old student of the Povoljsky State University of communications and information technologies who is also a laboratory assistant at the ecommerce department is charged with the creation of malware that is aimed at breaking electronic wallets.

According to the reports of the investigative administration at the Investigation Committee under the Samara Office of the Prosecutor of Russian Federation the young man developed a virus that substituted data during the transactions within WebMoney system as a result of which a portion of money transferred by the users was credited to the hacker’s account.

The reports also reveal that with his hacker software the young man has already robbed several thousand of e-wallet owners. Before the violator was arrested by the militia agents he had managed to create three versions of his malware and sell 50 copies of the virus at the price of $100.
