Paypal upgrades its Payflow Pro

Avin Arumugam, senior product manager for PayPal’s Payflow Gateway, has blogged about an upgrade for Payflow Pro product users. A new SSL server certificate hierarchy has been applied to the gateway to provide better security for users’ data.

Users are encouraged to update their product integration to the latest Software Development Kit (version 4.3 or higher) or the direct HTTP interface as PayPal plans to withdraw its current gateway server certificates in September. Users can access the informational web site at https://www.paypal.com/gatewayupdate for step-by-step instructions to update the integration.

Arumugam stated that soon his team will inform the affected Payflow Pro customers via email on more details about the update. Customers using the hosted Payflow Link product are not affected by this update.
