Liberty Reserve declares war to other payment systems

HOT Liberty Reserve API hacked. More than 1M+ was stolen.
Bug was fixed only after 3 months.

Liberty Reserve online payment system has announced today that starting today it forbids any other payment system to open an account with their system and “maintain any funds in it for the purpose of exchanges between Liberty Reserve and other payment system.” LR has warned that if accounts of other payment systems are discovered they will be closed and their owners will be asked to liquidate the funds within 48 hours.

The system explains such extreme measures as a necessity to protect the integrity and security of their site and decrease the amount of complaints they get from users which are allegedly were compromised by other “less secure” payment systems.

Earlier the system has also declared that it stops dealing with the exchangers directly having chosen Goldexchange.eu to represent the system in that issue.
