LG to release S-Class phones on Windows Mobile
This week is a time of new announcements in the world of mobile industry. As the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2009) show is being conducted in Barcelona companies focusing on mobile phones are making their statements about the future releases. LG is among those who reported about their plans to produce Windows Phones and unveiled its new 3D interface for its high-end phones.

Within 2009 the two companies will be team-working to produce at least 10 models of LG Windows phones while in 2012 the alliance will bring to the world as many as 26 phones. The first phone to come under the partnership of the two giants is the GM730, a touch-screen phone that will feature Windows Mobile 6.1 at launch and Windows Mobile 6.5 later this year.

The GM730 is built on LG's new 3D, "S-Class" user interface, which uses lots of big, tactile graphics to make complex phones more fun and easy to use. Thus, if you need to tune the FM radio on an S-Class phone, you turn a virtual dial with your finger. To set the clock, you move the hands with your finger. And to scroll through a menu, you flick a line of icons.
