Adobe Flash player to run on smartphones
A new version of Adobe Flash video player will soon be introduced for the latest high-end mobile devices. The company wants its Flash software to run not only on computers but also on the cell phones. Adobe plans to adapt a full PC version of its Flash video player to smartphones within the following year.

As a part of its project Adobe will allow developers to design visually rich software compatible with smartphones which will enable mobile phone users to load their favorite sites in a way they do it via their PCs with no images corrupted.

Adobe reports that the devices compatible with the new software will include mobile phones on Google's Android, Microsoft's Windows Mobile and Nokia's Symbian S60 platforms. Meantime, the company has no deal established with Apple to run the software on its iPhone handsets.

David Wadhwani, Adobe's platform business chief, said that Adobe was still working with Apple on an iPhone version but no announcement is expected to be made this week.
