Availity and Florida Medicaid cooperate to offer no charge information services
Availity, LLC, a leading provider of electronic administrative, financial, and clinical health information services optimizing information exchange between multiple health care stakeholders through a single, secure network, announced new connectivity option for the transmission of real-time electronic eligibility and benefits and claim status with Florida Medicaid.

Availity supports eligibility and benefits, authorizations and referrals, claims, claim status, and remittance with several commercial health plans in the state. It strengthens greatly the value of this strong system of services for Florida providers adding real-time Florida Medicaid connectivity to the network.

Julie Klapstein, CEO of Availity, reported that until now, Availity has had to charge health care providers for optional real-time transactions with Florida Medicaid, but offering the service at no charge is fulfilling a need frequently requested by the Florida customers. So transactions are available at no charge to Availity customers on its secure web portal, the Availity(R) Health Information Network, which securely exchanges information between providers and multiple health plans.
