Ecommerce sector in the U.S. growing at a slower pace
Final estimates for U.S. ecommerce growth were reported by the Forrester. The data covered the period of 2009 and 2013. The report showed that the situation around online businesses is much better than the rest of the traditional retail world. In addition the National Retail Foundation makes a forecast of a 0.5% decline in traditional retail sales during the current year.

Meantime Ecommerce is expected to keep on growing and taking more market share. Forrester reports: “When we asked where consumers would shift their retail dollars, the channels with the greatest shifts were the mass merchants, warehouse clubs, and Web retailers.”

Still the Internet based commerce is experiencing a decrease in its growth rates. This year the sector is growing at a rate of 11% against 13% last year and 18% in 2007. But the economists say that even when shoppers get busy in 2010 ecommerce will still be showing much more mature growth.
