“The Window of Japan” launched by Baidu
A new Chinese-language business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce platform was recently introduced by Baidu at japan.baidu.com. The platform called “The Window of Japan” at the moment offers products from jshoppers.com.cn, operated by Nissen's e-commerce subsidiary Navibird. Jshoppers.com.cn represents a co-branded service of Baidu and Nissen Group.

Earlier in January Nikkei reported that Baidu and Nissen would partner on online clothing sales with Baidu taking commission based on the number of visitors to a Baidu hosted site.

The partnership is expected to generate sales of 500 million yen in the first year and 3 billion yen in the third. Jshoppers.com.cn allows its members to make payments via Alibaba Group's Alipay and eBay's PayPal as well as through credit and bank cards.
