SAFTPAY hires former manager of Amazon as a new CTO
SAFTPAY Inc., a secure global e-payment system, has announced today that the appointment of David Bowden to the post of Chief Technology Officer. 

“Great leadership inspires great innovation,” said Manuel Montero, CEO of SAFTPAY. “David’s vast experience as a Sr. Development Manager at both Amazon’s Global Payments and Symantec where he was in charge of global web development in IT brings a new perspective to SAFTPAY development effort. He adds depth and expertise to the management team that can help SAFTPAY continue its commitment to deliver leading alternative payment industry innovation into the future.” 

Bowden brings more than 20 years experience as a proven leader, evangelist, architect, and educator to SAFTPAY. In his new role as chief technology officer at SAFTPAY, Bowden will lead the development and IT Operations team’s efforts to develop new technologies, functionality and services for SAFTPAY’s core payment platform product. Previously, Bowden was the Senior Manager in charge of Development for the Global Payments Division for Amazon. Bowden was also the Senior Manager of Development for Symantec Corporation, where he managed the development and infrastructure design for the Symantec.com global website. Bowden served in both executive management and senior management positions for several smaller companies such as Scient, Vignette, and served as General Manager at InstallShield.
