AlertPay still waiting for RBC’s explanation
An update was posted by AlertPay payment system concerning their issue with the Royal Bank of Canada. The processor reported that they are still waiting for complete information from the bank and while they contacted every relevant instances from Account Manager, Branch Manager, Ombudsman (supposedly an independent mediator), and Legal Department to get an explanation AlertPay was not given any further clarification so far.

“Our legal team contacted RBC’s legal team who responded on Tuesday stating that they need time to review our case and will respond back by Friday. Till this moment, our legal team has not heard anything from RBC’s legal team,” said the company post.

In the end of the notice the payment processor stated that they have plans to shift to another banking provider. Let us recollect that the initial explanation from the RBC last Friday January 16th, 2009 was that they had a system upgrade and this is why AlertPay was unable to access their accounts last week.
