Digital River introduces a new feature for online merchants
New subscription capabilities were recently announced by Digital River, Inc., a leading provider of global e-commerce solutions. The company added the new feature to its global e-commerce solution to enable for online merchants more flexibility in packaging their subscriptions and marketing their renewals. In addition this feature is said to offer more detailed performance data on merchants’ subscription campaigns, and increased opportunities to raise their renewal success rates.

Digital River added the subscription capabilities to enable online merchants to combine automated and self-service rebilling options on the basis of consumer needs, convert free and discounted trial options to paid and reoccurring billing subscriptions; easily update subscriber payment information to improve renewal billings; and optimize the subscription billing process with improved exception handling, failure recapture and automated end-customer communications.

In line with its pursues to improve the subscription technology Digital River closed a deal and acquired THINK Subscription. THINK is a Utah-based provider of subscription management software for publishers, online service providers and new media vendors.
