Alipay has partnered the leading online travel service
One of the leading online travel services in China Ctrip.com International, Ltd has announced its partnership with Internet payment processor Alipay, subsidiary of Alibaba Group, under which the passenger will be enabled to purchase air tickets online using famous payment system. Earlier the users could pay only by credit cards or on delivery.

Ctrip is sure that such partnership will help the company to attract more clients since Hangzhou-based Alipay is constantly developing and have more than 100 million users already. Alipay processes about 2, 000, 000 transactions a day, the total value of is RMB 550 million, reports China Knowledge.

Launched in 2004, AliPay has become the most popular and extensively used online payment tool for all areas of e-commerce in China, and is fast becoming the industry standard. To provide AliPay, Alibaba has partnered with all the leading banks in China, including Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, as well as visa and other financial institutions. AliPay has received the endorsement of traditional banks and financial institutions because of its advanced e-commerce payment technology and sophisticated risk management system.
