Motorola launches new products that will make revolution in mobile payments
At the National Retail Federation conference in New York Motorola Inc. has announced launch of a new product called the Snap-on Mobile Payment Device to work with the MC-70 and the MC-75 wireless handhelds. The new device includes a slot for swiping and reading credit cards for payments. According to Brian Viscount, VP of marketing for Motorola MC-70 and the MC-75 work with both LANs and WANs that enables the retailers just to swipe credit cards and make nearly instant credit checks in areas outside of normal checkout locations.

Those devices can be used in every place where checkout counters are not available. With new mobile payment system the seller can now accept payment even being far away from his or her store. The devices use Windows Mobile 6.0 and above.  The ruggedized snap-on device alone weighs 3.5 oz. and includes a 13-button keypad.

The MC-70 can be purchased for $655 and the MC-75 for $3,000 and more depending on the configuration.
