Mocapay is aiming to integrate its mobile payments and marketing technology with customer-facing payment systems from VeriFone Holdings Inc. at the NRF Annual Convention in January in New York City. And this news is perpective decision because Mocapay is known for its platform that provides merchants with the ability to mobile-enable their existing gift and loyalty programs through payment at the point-of-sale. The whole process looks the following way. Gift cardholders can transact at the point-of-sale, access their account balance and transaction history, find the nearest location, and reload their account, all from their mobile phone. Also the retailers will be given the tools to send targeted, one-to-one marketing messages to their customers. And all of this is offered by Mocapay.
Even though Mocapay's mobile payment solution can be integrated with any point-of-sale system, it needs to be based and run on the VeriFone MX800 series in VeriFone's booth at the NRF convention. The MX800 series is designed to enhance the customer experience at the point of sale and with more than 300,000 systems installed has become the de facto standard in consumer-facing payment systems.
According to Jeff Wakefield, VP of Marketing at VeriFone. Mocapay's mobile payments solution is rather flexible. It consists of the MX800 Series architecture and its suitability for value-added applications and has a great potential and provides many opportunities for mobile payments. Mocapay is known for its innovative approach. However, this partnership is an interesting financial salvation for Mocapay.
As Kevin Grieve, CEO of Mocapay, noted the company is interested in presentation its mobile payments and marketing platform in conjunction with VeriFone to such a vast audience of merchants at the annual NRF convention. And Mocapay will look forward to further develop its solutions and to demonstrate each of the capabilities and the number of ways Mocapay can continue to grow merchants' gift and loyalty programs.
