New executive to manage Barclays Investment Banking in Canada
Toronto and Calgary investment banking teams of Barclays Canada will be overseen by the new executive. Barclays Capital last week announced the appointment of Tim Kitchen to Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking, Canada. Kitchen will be based in Calgary and will continue to cover the firm's key Canadian Natural Resources clients. He will report to Joseph Gatto and Ros Stephenson, Co-Heads of Corporate Finance at Barclays Capital.

"Having built his investment banking career over nearly two decades in Canada, Tim has cultivated deep client relationships and has established a well deserved reputation within the firm as a strong leader. He is ideally suited to oversee our Canadian investment banking operations and will play an invaluable role in our continued growth in the region," said Skip McGee, Head of Global Investment Banking at Barclays Capital.

With 18 years of experience in investment banking Kitchen previously held a position of Managing Director, Head of Barclays Capital's Calgary Investment Banking team. Before he came to Barclays Capital in September2008 Kitchen served at the same position at Lehman Brothers after joining the firm in January 2007. Besides, Kitchen worked for 16 years in the Investment Banking Division of CIBC World Markets where he was responsible primarily for Natural Resources.
