New check management system from Heartland Payment Systems and transmodus
Heartland Payment Systems™ and transmodus announced the launch of their check management systems. The systems utilize Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

SOA uses high-volume-oriented electronic payment services for vertical business applications and point-of-sale (POS) software packages. It unifies front and back office functionalities into one platform. Enabling providers of business management software to easily introduce check management services into their existing application interface menus it integrates a complete bank-neutral check management solution.

Tony Capucille, director of check services at Heartland pointed out that SOA offers business owners a convenience way of accepting check payments through their POS systems not requiring stand-alone hardware.

Michael Shirman, chief technology officer at transmodus, said “We view the delivery of remote deposit with full check management via SOA as a pivotal point in the evolution of our platforms.”
