IPayX offers its users payments with BillPay Assist
Internet Payment Exchange (IPayX), a Toledo, Ohio-based provider of electronic billing and payment (EBP) technology and customer service solutions to healthcare providers, utility companies, municipal governments and other organizations, announced the enhancement of BillPay Assist(SM), an eCareview Healthcare Billing Portal(SM) feature that enables healthcare providers to give consumers and customer service agents the ability to create scheduled payment options for the self-pay portion of their medical bills.

BillPay Assist(SM) now enables the set up of recurring payments for consumers that are triggered by either a specific periodic cycle (i.e. installment plan) or whenever a statement is loaded into the billing system. The installment plans support payments weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or paycheck cycles of the 15th and 31st.

"We added additional functionality to our existing payment plans in response to feedback from our healthcare clients and their patients for more flexibility, especially as the economy continues to struggle," said Douglas Braun, president and CEO of IPayX. "BillPay Assist(SM) enables healthcare providers to offer a number of new payment-related options including the ability to establish payment plans, up-front, on newly created accounts, apply discounts to accounts that use payment plans and to recalculate the last recurring payment if necessary."
