TNEB bills paid online by customers of Indian Bank and ICICI Bank
The Indian Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) announced that it expanded its online payment service for electricity bills settlement to allow customers of Indian Bank and ICICI Bank living at Chennai to make payments for power bills via the Internet.

The official release of the board says that the account holders of Indian Bank will be able to make payments of their bills via the Internet banking and those of ICICI Bank along with online banking will be provided such options as credit card or debit card. The TNEB also plans to extend its service to other parts of the sate as reported in the release.

Last April the TNEB launched its Any Time Payment system in association with Canara Bank. The service benefited about 35,200 consumers. Later partnering with Axis Bank the board introduced the option of making payments with credit and debit cards. The release adds that these measures will benefit 280 thousand consumers in Chennai area.
