Indian travelers can book railway tickets via new SBI facilities
The State Bank of India announced last week that it launched new Internet banking kiosks at ATM centers located in the railway stations. With these facilities customers will be able to book railway tickets through the Internet banking service for all trains available at IRCTC site. First kiosk was opened by the SBI at available at IRCTC site station.

The kiosks installed at ATM centers allow customers access a wide range of Internet banking services. Thus in addition to reserving tickets for the railway trips customers can also initiate funds transfers, make balance inquiries along with bill payments, interbank funds transfers and tax payments. As soon as the transaction for booking the ticket is complete a customer receives the printed electronic reservation slip.

State Bank of India is the largest bank in India. It is also, measured by the number of branch offices and employees, the second largest bank in the world. It has the largest branch network in the country with over 14,300 offices across India. SBI provides a range of banking products through its vast network in India and overseas, including products aimed at NRIs. With an asset base of $126 billion and its reach, it is a regional banking behemoth.
