BancTec, Inc partners with Discover to process payments

BancTec, Inc. has signed a retail remittance processing agreement with Discover Financial Services. 
    
Cliff Whittle, Director of Processing Services at Discover, commented on the agreement by saying: "As more of our customers choose electronic payments rather than paper checks, working with a leading remittance processing provider was a logical choice." While Jeff Brown, vice president, BancTec stated that they are glad to provide value to Discover being a leader in the industry with their knowledge, migration and transition skills along with modern technology and operations facilities.

In accordance with the agreement, three BancTec operating centers in the United States, will be handling Discover's AR processing. BancTec's PayCourier® high-speed image remittance processing solution will provide technical core of BancTec's service for Discover. BancTec will also employ its advanced IntelliScan® document processing transport, workflow management, and other technical solutions.
