Conjoint fraud prevention initiated by iovation and Internet Identity
A new partnership on creating strong anti-phishing protection applications was recently established between iovation, the Device Reputation Authority(TM) for the Internet, and Internet Identity, a pioneering leader in anti-phishing services. In their conjoint project the companies are determined to provide Internet businesses with online fraud management and anti-phishing solutions that provide stronger protection against all forms of online fraud and phishing scams.

Internet Identity's PowerShark(TM) Anti-Phishing Response service is based on a continuous search performed on the Internet to detect spam email and domain registrations for phishing Web sites that target customer brands and put those companies at risk. Then Internet Identity's system alerts browsers such as Internet Explorer, anti-spam providers, and other major ISPs of active phishing sites.

iovation's real-time ReputationManager(TM) service is designed to determine whether an online transaction is coming from a computer that has been associated with fraud or abuse in the past. The solution has a base of over 80 million unique devices worldwide that were found to be used for fraudulent transactions. Thus if the transaction comes from a computer that was previously blacklisted ecommerce company is warned about the risk.
