Hi-Media launches Hipay e-wallet and becomes the first e-money issuer in Belgium
Hi-Media Group, parent company of Allopass payment system, has announced today that after obtaining an approval from Belgian banking and insurance commission for its subsidiary Hi-Media Porte Monnaie Electronique (HPME) which edits the Hipay solution it became the first issuer of electronic money in Belgium. 

HPME solution, Hipay, which offers a full range of electronic money services will be launched early 2009 first in Belgium and then in the other European countries. Indeed, thanks to its news status, HPME has the right to offer its services in all the European countries, reports EuroInvestor.  

Cyril Zimmermann, CEO and founder of Hi-Media Group declares, "it is an accomplishment of several years of efforts and investments on a very innovating product that responds to the Internet users needs and demands as well as the very high security standards requirements. Hipay is going to perfectly complement our existing range of electronic payment services within Allopass. Hipay teams have done an amazing job and we are eager to start commercialize the solution! "
