‘Payment and Loyalty’ scheme of Coffee Republic and sQuid eMoney
Coffee Republic (CFE.L) announced a new ‘Payment and Loyalty’ smartcard for those using the sQuid eMoney (electronic money).

The Coffee Republic eMoney smartcard is a contactless payment. It combines benefits of ‘pay as you go’ scheme and a loyalty scheme giving customers rewards for redemption. The system has been specifically designed to replace cash transactions, and is compatible with transport smartcard applications.

The card will be Coffee Republic branded carrying an open payments purse and a Coffee Republic loyalty purse. Users can receive promotional funds into this purse, which is redeemable in-store. Customers can register the card online in order to view transactions and top-up their open purse. It is possible to top-up in-store too.

sQuid is a smart cash which is fast and comfortable to use. Moreover, it gives an opportunity to control funds. Other benefits of it are that it can’t get you into debt and it doesn’t require having a bank account.

sQuid has a multi-purse capability and is compatible with ITSO (transit) schemes. sQuid is safe as it operates enhanced security between the card, the terminal and the payments engine.

Coffee Republic was founded in 1995 and is now one of the most popular and largest independent espresso bar franchises in the United Kingdom. Today Coffee Republic has more than 200 outlets across the United Kingdom and world wide.
