American Express introduces new money saving program
Companies will be assisted in saving their costs on the travel programs with the new complimentary travel program assessment to be offered by American Express Business Travel. The assessment previously only available to existing American Express clients will be provided to companies of all sizes in each region around the world beginning December 2, 2008.

The assessment leverages a proprietary solution to analyze key performance indicators such as online booking adoption, nonrefundable ticket usage and compliance to preferred vendors and travel policies. The same proprietary technology was used by American Express last year in delivering over $1 billion in travel savings for its North American clients. Apart from the free travel program assessment, American Express Business Travel also recommends several tools and strategies within its solutions suite.

X-Ray Vision, Expanding Policy, Aim to Reclaim, Confirm they Conform, Calculate Savings Realized and Peer Power are those solutions aimed at helping companies recession-proof their travel programs, manage travel spending through this economic crisis and drive savings year round.
