DU is going to be one of the leading Internet companies. It will join the eBay, Amazon, Overstock and Decatur utilities starting December 8.
However, it is different from listed companies. It will prepare for its own Cyber Monday. Being a part of powerful Internet world offers more opportunities to conduct business online. So it is expected that twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, DU will accept bill payments by credit cards, debit cards and check online.
According to DU Customers Service Manager Anena Maxwell, even though this service is preferable by customers wanting to know when they will be able to start online payments it is needed for a while.
And there is no surprise that new online service becomes so popular among e-customers. In fact it will make the lives of DU customers a little easier although a little bit more expensive. The process of DU online transactions is filled in details. It is planned that customers will incur a $ 3.95 service fee for each transaction by debit card, credit card and electronic check. And it wouldn't matter if the customers paid online, by phone or in person. To conduct online payments, customers need a DU account number, the balance of the most recent bill, and credit card or check routing information. Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express debit and credit cards will be available for that service.
As Ray Hardin, DU general manager considers new service will simplify the process of online payments. It will offer the customers the convenient form of payment. So they won't have to go to the office for that purpose.
Also besides the credit card and check payment options customers may use mail with an automatic bank draft for making their online transactions paid.
