This year Black Fridaye-commerce sales hit all the previous records
According to comScore, the key US Christmas shopping day saw e-commerce sales rise by one per cent on November 28th compared with the same date last year, with Thanksgiving Day transactions up by six per cent.

Internet-based retail sales reached $534 million in total, while those for the four weeks ending on Black Friday dropped by four per cent to $10.4 billion.

Gian Fulgoni, chairman of comScore, said it was likely that the Black Friday sales lift was due to shoppers responding to highly aggressive promotional campaigns on the part of retailers, reports Bluhalo, UK.

Black Friday prompted a 14 per cent increase in US retail email marketing activity in the week prior to the date, according to recent figures from the Retail Email Index.
