An integrated solution to be offered by Monitise and eCommLink

A new cooperative agreement to jointly offer mobile money applications to the prepaid debit card industry was announced recently by eCommLink, Inc., a leading value added prepaid processor, and Monitise Americas, LLC, the mobile money experts. The two companies joined their forces to enable the integration of prepaid cards with mobile devices.

eCommLink and Monitise will market a prepaid card that closely interacts with cardholder's mobile phone. Thus customers will be able to manage their cards, reload their accounts, pay bills, transfer money to another person and make international remittances directly from the mobile handset, regardless of the carrier or financial institution.

Under this partnership the companies will provide white label solutions to eCommLink's program management and banking clients. Corporate clients will be provided the choice to select either an SMS based interface or a simple to use, easy to download mobile application which allows cardholders to manage their prepaid accounts and perform transactions on the go.
