Douglas Jackson, E-gold Today the users of the Internet and the old-timers of virtual economy can hardly remember the time when Dr. Douglas Jackson, Chairman of E-gold gave an interview and spoke to the clients. The reporter of Ecommerce Journal has managed to contact Dr. Douglas Jackson and to obtain an exclusive interview for ECJ.

Dear Mr. Douglas, in view of the recent events your payment system is in the limelight and
people really have no clue what to do. In your blog you told that the press release was a fraudulent one but our readers are still at a loss.

They need to remember that the ONLY authoritative info about e-gold is on the www.e-gold.com website.

There is a rumor that e-gold nulls all the accounts. Is it right?

E-gold complies with the e-gold account user agreement.

Exchangers stopped buying your currency. As for the rest exchangers, the rates are extremely high.

Anyone is free to become an exchanger, but legal woes and attacks have made those rare. Since e-gold doesn't do any exchange, we can't answer exchange questions beyond referencing the e-gold site.

How can you comment the present situation? And can you make any clarifications?

We suggest less of a focus on Ponzi schemes. And the fake information came from a fake site, because, as I keep repeating, the ONLY authoritative info about e-gold is on the www.e-gold.com website, as it's been since 1996.
