USA Technologies renews partnership with Vivotech on ePort technology

Financial services supplier USA Technologies has selected NFC mobile payments provider Vivotech to deliver 25,000 contactless/magstripe card readers for its ePort technology.

In 2007 USA Technologies purchased 10,000 readers from Vivotech that were installed with the ePort in vending machines operated by bottlers and vending companies.

ePort Connect features a portfolio of services for the multi-billion dollar unattended point-of-sale market. It allows self-service terminals to deal with cashless payments, manages elements of the transaction processing and enables customers to monitor their terminals online.

According to recent studies, the USA Technologies customer base has registered an increase in net profits and the company reports a 30 percent increase in average credit card purchases, as compared with purchases made with cash.

USA Technologies has already partnered with MasterCard to equip 17,500 vending machines with ePort cashless terminals to accept MasterCard’s PayPass contactless payment system. Discover Network has also installed ePort in 1,000 vending machines to implement Discover Network Zip contactless payment technology.
