iPad gets multitasking with the new iOS 4.2

New iteration of Apple iOS comes with multi-tasking to iPad and a number of other new features for all iOS devices. The update was announced in September and now the Cupertino presents it.

iOS 4.2 sports numerous tiny changes. Most notable is the universal inbox which combines differing email accounts together. Besides, the new operating system adds streaming to a an Apple TV box over Apple's AirPlay – and, if you're lucky enough to own one of the handful of supported printers, then AirPrint will give your mobile applications a route to physicality.

iPhone 4 review. Tests, opinions, conclusions

Some people believe that consumers should not rely on media reviews when it comes to the choice of products but our magazine believes that heavily paid advertisement won’t be much more reliable source of information for consumers either. Besides, an educated customer will always notice themselves when the review exaggerates the advantages and downplays the flaws of certain products. Furthermore, however biased the review might be we can always filter the necessary information for ourselves and get at least remotest idea of what we are planning to purchase.

New iPhone OS 4.0 review: what is really new and worth to speak of?

On Thursday Apple was holding its big iPhone OS 4.0 sneak peek event where the company announced 100 new features for the next version of the iPhone OS. At the event seven of the features were covered most of all.

While many users will like those functions added to the operating system still there is almost nothing applicable for business professionals. Among the trifle changes introduced there is a 5x digital zoom for the camera, a spell-check feature, customizable home and lock screen wallpaper (a feature already present in the iPad), and the ability to rotate photos.

Seems like iPad has no definite use

ComScore released the results of the survey that polled Internet users on how they would like to use Apple’s iPad. The research found that mostly people want to use it for browsing the Web and checking e-mail. Meantime, people cited downloading apps from the App Store and playing intense video games such as first-person shooters were among the least popular potential uses.

It should be noted that the survey polled 2,176 participants defined as Internet users which surely does not imply most of them were those who want and who will order the iPad for themselves.
