Swiss Mutual Fund originally mentioned on its website that it was created after World War II in 1948 by the Cheviot family of France, with operations based in Berne, Switzerland. After 48 years (1996), the firm moved to the Commonwealth of Dominica due to changes in financial regulations in Europe. However the Swiss Embassy in Kuala Lumpur has stated the following:
"The Swiss Mutual Fund (1948) and or Swiss Cash are not registered companies in Switzerland. Until proof of the contrary, the Embassy doubts that the remarks about these funds and their historic links to Switzerland as outlined on their original website are genuine. The original website is indeed registered in the USA and the contact telephone number is from New Jersey (USA)."
This information was also corroborated by the Swiss Embassy in Singapore.
On December 13 2006, Swiss Mutual Fund (1948) S.A. was struck from the Commonwealth of Dominica's Register of International Business Companies.
The current version of the Swiss Mutual Fund website no longer includes any information about the company's history.
In June 2007, the Securities Commission, Malaysia's capital markets regulator, has already taken action against the promoters of Swiss Cash.
In August 2007, the website was down, no one could login anymore. Internet rumors said the website down was due to hurricane Dean, and would be back on 25th August. But nothing happened on 25th August.
Afterwards, a few similar websites were up, but no official announcement from Swiss Mutual Fund proved whether those website are from Swiss Mutual Fund or not. Those websites only had front pages with no back end database so members could not login.
Internet rumors said the website being down was due to upgrades and maintenance, and would be back at 1 Sep 2007. Nothing happened on 1st September.
Internet rumors said Swiss Mutual Fund would be back on 15 September 2007. Nothing happened on 15th September.
On September 17, the Financial Supervision Commission of the Commonwealth of Dominica released a press release which confirms that Swisscash is not a registered or incorporated company and does not have any established business in the island nation.
There have been allegations that the Swiss Mutual Fund is a Pyramid Scheme, with victims predominantly in Malaysia. The Central Bank of Malaysia has issued warnings regarding Swiss Mutual Fund's legitimacy, and has advised investors to avoid the company and its subsidiaries. The Monetary Authority of Singapore has placed Swiss Mutual Fund in their Investor Alert List and in IRAN one of the top leaders of SC in Shiraz who is called Amir Sadeghi changed his address.
Swiss Cash members worldwide still maintain their optimism that the site (or it's new provider) will be up and running again by the end of October 2007, while most are now coming to the sad realization that it may never again return and that their funds could be lost for good.

Swiss Cash partners reportedly online as Sun Traders, (http://www.suntraders.com/) appears to have some investors ready to go in 2008! But should it take so long realistically?
As the new partner site (that emerged in the months recently in news posts and circulated down-line emails), all hopes had risen with a firm belief that investors may again see their investment returned to them.
As a Swiss Cash investor myself I shared these hopes of seeing my principal again, but on trying to activate my account began to experience more problems instead leaving me to believe I will not. I managed to sign up for an account and update my details for my Swiss Cash claim. The system recognized my original Swiss Cash username (which was a good sign at least) and allowed me to view the Sun Traders website. I received my confirmation email asking me to send my ID and investment certificate to the email address legaldept@suntraders.com. I tried this 4 times and each time it was returned undeliverable with either address not found or mail box full. I also tried the other email address provided: finalnotice@suntraders.com 3 more times however, the same error messages were received.
Since trying for well over a month to send these details within their ‘DEADLINES' without success, I will keep a close watch on the situation to see if they have activated my account or if they refuse my claim in future. Anyone who has their claim refused or could not deliver their documents to the Sun Traders email addresses please post comments on this article.
Those who have successfully regained access to their new accounts and original Swiss Cash investment principal, please post comments on this article to tell us the great news!
