Minvestement is inherently a scam

February 8, 2008 - 1:05pm | author: Natalia | |

Minvestement, being rated as premium class HYIP, was founded in 2000. In accordance to the information ceased from the blogs as official site http://www.minvestement.com/ or any related to it sites were shut dawn from January 29, 2008 with no explanations from the official side.

Basing on the partly information - the company was funding in very prospective, from the investment point of view, real estate segment in southern eastern Asia and in the development of the oil fields in "highly promising areas of the world" (without being anyhow specific).  Company has promised high interest daily rates with decreased minimum deposit of only $15 dollars. It is typical catch of any HYIP company - they create an impression that by investing small deposit - you wouldn't loose a lot, but at the same time - you would hardly get as much as if you would invest at least couple thousands buks. That's why the average amount of deposits in any HYIP is $2,000.

There Minvestement interest rates were set as below:

For deposits of $15 to $999.99 the daily rate was varying from 1.4 - 1.7% daily;

For deposits from $1,000 to $24,999. - fixed daily rate of 1%  (corresponds to Plan 2 investment portfolio)

For deposits over $25,000 - there was a fixed daily rate of 2.3%

The only exception from interest payment  was no interest paid during weekends and public holidays. The company ‘s officials have promised to develop the company structure through opening at "least 2 regional representative offices that would allow local investors to wire big amounts of the deposits . And of course, 7% referral bonus was offered.

Hilarious that terms of payment delay was stated as 1-day. Hilarious is that Minvestement demonstrates all major features that allow identify company as HYIP; it attracts investors operating on a basic Ponzi schema as quite popular Offshores.us, Expert Traders, StormPay and many others.

1. Poor content and more than modest web design.

2. Contact information can be found only on "Contact us" page. In HYIP blogs Minvestement officials stated the main contact persons who may reach the new investor would be  Michael Greenwood and Raymond Conn, as customer support and technical support representatives respectively, and  John Jensen as CEO of Minvestement.com. In addition, right on the edge of the Christmas it was announced that company plans an aggressive expansion by opening new repoffices (location and time schedule were not disclosed). Let us remind you that basing  on the previous company statement By December 2007 company was dealing with "China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Russia and Czech Republic". And again there were no contact phone or legal address mentioned; the main way to contact site officials was via e-mail sending. None of the facts related to number of employees, company structure, neither any financial reports were revealed. As an alternative method to contact the company was named Live chat operated within business days from 8 pm to 4 am GMT (3pm to 11 pm EST); however,  none of the bloggers was able to reach any of the named above authorized persons to get the answer on the multiple concerns, fears and questions.

As to alternative types of depositing money Minvestement was accepting e-bullion to fund the accounts, however in January 9, 2008  the company has received an instruction (read warning) from e-Bullion forcing company to cease any incoming and outgoing transfers  and to leave the system before 01/16/2008. However despite the e-Bullion instructions Minvestement continued to create "new bogus accounts" in order to increase the cash flow into the system. After the mentioned date all new accounts in e-Bullion assets with intention to fund the Minvestement.com were simply blocked. The officials of e-Bullion have strongly recommended the Minvestement investors "if they are still obliged to send the funds' to Minvestement to use another alternative payment system". Let us a make a quick note - e-Bullion introduction as an alternative mean of funding was claimed to be a significant step in Minvestement development, as well as opening local offices.

Meanwhile, starting from early December, 2007 Minvestement has started to negotiate with LibertyReserve the possibility to convert e-Bullion into LibertyReserve. And the negotiations were successful. In January 26 the newsletter of Minvestement appeared in the blogs of sites related to HYIP (example everyHYIP.com). It was stated that  e-Buillion currency was replaced with LibertyReserve. All funds in e-Bullion were automatically converted into liberty Reserve and all pending e-Bullion withdrawals have been deleted. So the investors had to re-submit withdrawal request. If the investor didn't have the registered LibertyReserve account linked to his profile than Minvestement gave detailed instruction how to creat and fund the new account with LibertyReserve. As a bonus for caused inconvenience the investors were offered 5% added to every amount deposited via LibertyReserve.

January 29, 2008 the company's web site was shut down and  its  founders have disappeared.

Despite the disappointment and claims of the investors of Minvestement regarding non-received dividends and lost funds, and the multiple requests addressed to US authorities (as web is hosted on US server) to take legal action, unfortunately, there's no way to gain the money back.

 First of all, according to American legislation any HYIP is initially illegal. Secondly, any income received from investing in Ponzi schemes are considered to be illegal as well and, therefore, can't filed into tax report. So one crime brings another- breach of tax law, that is considered one of the severe crime here, in the USA.  Thirdly, investment in HYIP is built on high risk investment, that's why the interest rate on any HYIP web site is so deliciously savor.

One more thing to add - recently two leading HYIP web sites such as Offshores.us and Expert Traders were harmed by ddos-attacks caused the shut down of the web sites for two days. The same thing has happened with Offshores.us in November, so you can imagine the frequency of the similar attacks and the weak protection of these web sites that in addition to high risk will bring you the headache from ID fraud in the future.

There was an opinion that Minvestement web was shut down due to the same reason, helas! The reason s quite simple- they ran away with Your money.

The other remark we would allow ourselves is that right after the shut down of the Minvestement.com in the Internet appeared the new HYIP - http://www.gprshyip.com/. Basing on the content and web graphic, as well as on containing of the home page and comparison of its portfolios to ones of Minvestement, and taking in view general web site structure, we may suppose that we are dealing with the same Minvestement and K, or its heir,  hidden beneath the new mask. However, it is only an idea...
