Can’s and cannot’s
AlertPay does not use an account number but an email address to send and receive payments. All confirmations are sent to a customer’s email address.
Opening an account is absolutely free. Fees are charged upon receiving funds to an AlertPay account.
An account holder cannot cancel a deposit transaction for a bank transfer once he has confirmed the transfer. This is an automatic process and cannot be cancelled. Therefore there is no option to cancel a deposit transaction.
A customer can transfer the funds back to own bank account once the transfer is complete but it will require him/her to create a withdrawal transaction to his/her bank account from the AlertPay account. This can take up to 5 business days.
Consumers can cancel withdrawal transactions only in Pending state. A withdrawal transaction by bank transfer is a process of requesting money to be moved from an AlertPay account to a bank account.
If the transaction is complete (money has been withdrawn to a bank account), the transaction cannot be cancelled.
A customer can add the funds back to his/her bank account once the transfer is complete but it will require him/her to create a deposit transaction in his/her AlertPay account. The process of adding more funds depends on the chosen unding method.
