Nokia partners with Indian Tanla Solutions for mobile payments

 Indian mobile payment solutions provider Tanla Solutions entered into a partnership agreement with Nokia for professional services. As a part of their 5-year deal Tanla will be providing Nokia with its mobile payment service to help with on-device transactions. 

Tanla’s mobile payment solutions include WAP billing, m-vouchers, premium SMS, and m-ticketing. These services allow users to purchase digital content & services with just their mobile phones, the company said.
 
“The adoption of smartphones is a key driver for the consumption of applications and content on the handset, Nokia being the clear market leader in the smart phone segment and the largest handset manufacturer, makes this agreement very significant to Tanla,” said Uday Reddy, chairman & managing director at Tanla Solutions.
