What, you don’t know where to find a good man for marriage? Are you kidding? The Internet can solve this problem. It provides a lot of excellent and highly effective ways to meet someone you'll want to see over and over again.

I am not the exception – I met my future husband online. Next month we will celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. I am ready to accept congratulations and tell you how you can find your perfect match online. It’s time to take your love life into your own hands!

Chances are that your future husband won’t just stumble into your house or apartment, so one of the most important things you can do when you are trying to meet someone is to make yourself more available.

1. Dating sites
Dating sites will give you an excellent opportunity to expand your social circle and meet someone who could truly be your soul mate! It is a good way to avoid annoying silence on the first date. Before going out with your partner you will have learned a lot about each other so you can just relax and have fun.

Nowadays here are thousands of dating websites online, so if you are searching for a husband, you have plenty of places to start from. They can be targeted either at all singles (Match.com, Personals.Yahoo.com, AmericanSingles.com, eHarmony.com) or at a certain type of singles (SportsFriends.com, MilitaryDate.com, SingleParentsMingle.com, Nudistfriends.com). 

Any dating website that considers your preferences for a soul mate is a good choice. You can browse members’ profiles based on age, gender, location, hobbies and many other criteria. It couldn't be easier to find your match!  

Search first on free online dating services to decide which website suits you more. Typically, you can create your profile and carry out basic searches without any charge. But if you want to take advantage of communication tools and advanced search, you need to pay a fee. Choose 1-2 dating sites and subscribe to premium membership. It makes sense that if you are willing to pay for a service, you will be far more serious about using it.

By the way, I met my husband on a local forum. He was organizing a jazz concert and I was interested to meet such an active person. I browsed all the messages he wrote and understood that we have a lot in common. After several short messages on the forum I gave him my IM number.

Even though chat rooms are losing their popularity, they are still a good way to communicate with new people. Pay attention to all users. Is that man open and honest? How does he express his opinion? Does he insult other users? Is his English good? If you like somebody, don’t wait – make him interested and ask for a private talk. 

How to find a husband?

•    Take 2-4 pictures of yourself where you look nice and happy. Please don’t cut pictures where you are holding a friend or partying in the dance club. It is also not recommended to wear very sexy and open outfit. Things are not so bad, right? 
•    Be creative. Everybody writes the same - “Hi! How are you?” Try to avoid clichés. Ask a question or write something unexpected if you want to draw attention to your profile. Some years ago I wanted to meet with a very good-looking man, but I knew that he received dozens of messages every day. So I wrote: “Hi! I like your surname! Can you marry me because I want to have the same one.” He was very impressed with my message! We didn’t get married, but he says that he will remember it forever.  
•    Don’t get disappointed if the first man you met online is not your soul mate. Look further. I had spent nearly a year before I found my husband. Finding a good man... a special man... a quality man takes time and patience.
•    Keep an open mind. A lot of times we refused to date with men who didn’t fit the mold we have created in our minds for what our husband should be like. Of course, I don’t want to say that you should meet with violent or rude men just because opposites attract. But maybe you should stop looking for blue-eyed blondes only? 
•    Be very careful with members’ profiles and stories. It is similar to reading the small print in the credit card agreement. For example, "I’m a young professional with an awesome car” can mean “Actually, my car is the best part of me.” “I’m single, I live in another country and I plan to come back to the U.S. in 6 months" – “I am so bored here, please entertain me.”
•    Once you've found your perfect match, don’t hurry. It takes time to find out who he really is (believe me, time will show). It’s not a good idea to meet after a couple of short talks. If your partner is serious about your relationships, he will wait for some time. If he is a scammer, he will simply disappear. 
•    Don’t mention marriage too soon, or you’ll scare your potential life-long partner. Just enjoy your relationships. Even if you don’t get married, you can spend a great time together, so you won’t feel sorry about the lost time.  
•    Meet the man after 3 months of chatting and exchanging photos. You can choose a coffee shop or museum in a day time. It’s not a good idea to go to the movies because you are supposed to meet and talk.
•    Don’t be afraid if your partner is a bit different in real life. When I met my husband in a coffee shop, I didn’t like him because he was shy and nervous. I really wanted to break our relationship. Luckily, my partner had more patience. 
•    After the first meeting, don’t immediately ask for the second meeting. Take a pause to analyze his behavior. Was everything ok? 
•    Wait for at least 6 months before marriage. You need to know all his sides - when he is sad, happy, angry or drunk. After all, you are looking for a man to spend the rest of your life with!
