Mashreq partners with PayMate for mobile payments
Mashreq has announced it was partnering with PayMate, in order to launch mobile payments in the UAE.

It is forecasted that the payments will include paying for over-the-counter shopping, utility bills, online purchases through mobile phones, as well as mobile applications for purchasing movie and flight tickets. The service is to become the first-of-its-kind mobile payment service in the country.

Customers will be offered an opportunity to choose between punching their card details on the mobile application and entering the PayMate PIN. Each payment then is authorized by a 4-digit PIN to control completion of the transaction and ensure security. The amount is charged directly to the credit card or bank account of the customer.

PayMate is India's leading mobile commerce company.
